Fox Fur

I take Emma Grace shopping for new boots yesterday. We have to hit three stores to find THE pair that are comfortable enough for the Queen Bee.
She slips her foot in this black suedish boot and says "Ahhhhhh...I just love the ones with Fox Fur"
I say "I think you mean FAUX fur. The word is French and the X is silent. It means fake or artifical"
 Emma "What?!?! I told all my friends you buy me shoes with FOX FUR" She puts the boot back on the shelf and ask the sales lady where the real FOX fur boots are sold.

What's In a Pie?

The Schwans man stops by this evening and I am looking through the catalog. The girls are in the room playing the Wii. He tells me about the Holiday pies and I reply that I am not making the pies this year. I continue looking through the catalog and turn to see what is going on with the girls. Hollly is silently weeping with giant tears falling on her cheeks. Emma Grace is comforting her and says 'Don't worry Holly. I will call Nana. She will make us a pie."  Yep. I bought a pie tonight.

Little Chef

Holly walks up to me and says "I have 3 words for you mother......PUMPKIN. CHEESE. CAKE." and then walks away.
That girl watches too much Paula Deen.

Hand Me Downs

So I pulled out Emma Graces old coat. She loved this coat. It is very girly. Long with pink faux. Guess it will be Hollys this year. I wash it and on the first cold day I help Holly put it on. She looks at herself and rolls her eyes. "Really mom? Seriously?" And she walks out the door shaking her head.
Guess I will hit the mall tomorrow. Not all hand me downs work.
