So my two youngest girls are generally very kind to everyone. Even to each other. So these comments were quite shocking and it was hard to hold the giggles back. Only because it is such an oddity coming from such sweet natured girls. I will blame it on the fact that we currently have no AC in the car and it is 100 degrees outside.
1. Holly picks up one of Emmas tiny poppers that we she accidently dropped. I forget the name but those tiny white bundles that you throw on the ground and they pop. Holly doesnt know what it is and it pops in her hand. Emma is visible more upset than Holly. She hates it when someone gets hurt especially if it might be her fault. Lillie is starting to scold her about leaving her things around and Emma gets mad and returns with "Mom doesn't let me keep gun powder n my room DUMBO" I am helping holly who has a blister on her finger, trying to reassure Emma that Holly is fine and shew Lillie to another room AND trying really hard not to giggle over the DUMBO part.
2. Driving in the hot hot hot hot car. Everyone is cranky and it is getting loud n the car too. Holly speaks up and says to no one in particular. "Do you wanna sleep with the fishes? The live ones? Hey! I said do you want to sleep with the fishes" Lillie and Emma respond No. and Holly shouts "Then SHUT UP"
Me "Honey...we have to get the air fixed fast"
